Week 14

Bills 38    Dolphins 17
First Downs: 20
Total Distance Left to Travel: 0 miles

This game was the perfect ending to my project. The Bills completely controlled this game from start to finish. Marshawn Lynch and Freddie Jackson ran all over the Dolphin’s defense, it's too bad that it took us till just about the end of the season to put the two of them on the field together. The Cleveland game this week is a big one, we need a win to get in to the playoffs. I guess we will see what Trent can do in a big game situation.

Thanks for following my project through out the season.

Week 13

Bills 17    Redskins 16
First Downs: 15
Total Distance Left to Travel: 0 miles

What a finish! Finally the Bills are able to pull out a win in the final seconds. With losses by Denver, Cleveland, and Houston we are still very much in the playoff race. This week’s game against the Dolphins should be good one. I am excited to see how Fred Jackson does this week, he averaged about eight yards a carry aganist Washington.

Having had a week with no where to go I decided that I would put up some posters to advertise my arrivial at next week’s game, as well as check out some local landmarks.

Week 12

Bills 14    Jaguars 36
First Downs: 20
Total Distance Left to Travel: 0 miles

Another week, another loss. This game was a close one, even though it doesn’t look that way from the score. We were only down by eight with a few minutes left, but the last turnover killed us. This loss is going to definitely make it harder for us to make the playoffs, although Tennessee and Denver both lost as well this week so we are still in the hunt. It looks like they are going to give Trent Edwards the start this week, so I guess we will see what he can do. The fact of the matter is our offense needs to put up some points.

Looking at the number of first downs in this game, I had no problem making it to the stadium. The only thing is, is that the Dolphins game is still a week away.

Week 11

Bills 10    Patriots 56
First Downs: 14
Total Distance Left to Travel: 4 miles

Well, there is not much to comment on this week, the entire game was a bit of a wash. It was only competitive for about one quarter, and then it was just down hill from there. However, we have a lot to look forward to this week. The Jacksonville game is a important one, our playoff hope are really on the line. They (the Jaguars) are missing a lot of key defensive players this week, so hopefully our offense will be able to move the ball.

With two more weeks to go we look in good shape. The 23 first downs from the Cincinnati game in Week 9 really helped. I was able to make my way around Buffalo this week and got to where the 219 hits I 90. Looks like I will be there with a week to spare.

Week 10

Bills 13    Dolphins 10
First Downs: 15
Total Distance Left to Travel: 18 miles

I guess you can say that a win is a win. For the first three quarters I thought that I was watching a baseball game with the score being 3-2. However with the defense playing strong all game, the offense was able to put it together enough in the end to pull it out. Marshawn was impressive with back to back runs into the end zone to tie the game at 10 a piece. Unfortunately, it looks like we are going to lose him for next week.

In a very offensively challenged game, I was still able to pick up a good amount of miles. Looks like I should have no problem getting to the game on time. I have yet to hear back from both the Buffalo News and Artvoice, but I sent them follow up emails the beginning of the week. Let’s hope for the best this week aganist the Pats.

Go Bills!

Week 9

Bills 33    Bengals 21
First Downs: 23
Total Distance Left to Travel: 33 miles

While we finally made our way  back up to the .500 mark, just need to pull one off in Miami and we can post a winning record. For the first time this season, our offense took control of the game and was able to move the ball effectively. Steve Fairchild called one of his best games so far, hopefully this is not a one week thing. After Miami we face some much stiffer competition than we have in the last month, and our offensive needs to continue to be aggressive.

I have been particularly impressed with our offensive line the past couple of weeks. Their pass protection keeps getting better, and Marshawn Lynch is able to get a lot more yards on the ground as a result of their improved run blocking. The more our offense controls the ball, the better and faster our defense can play.

With a game that featured a ton of offense, I was able to cover a lot of miles this week. If the Bills keep this up I might be waiting outside the stadium for a week. Finally, a quick update on my quest for publicity for this project, up to this point I have not heard from Larry Norton at 97 Rock, so I sent emails to Al Wilson at the Buffalo News and Artvoice. We’ll see if I have better luck with the papers.

Week 8

Bills 13    Jets 3
First Downs: 19
Total Distance Left to Travel: 56 miles

And here I thought that last week’s game was boring to watch. The first three quarters of this one put me to sleep, but none the less we were able to pull it out in the end. That’s two wins back to back, and we are one away from .500. Hopefully we will be able to get a third one this weekend, but the Bengals are going to be tough test, last I heard Rudi Johnson was going to be back in the line up.

Although we were only able to see Losman in action very little on Sunday, I am interested to see what he does with his start on Sunday. With everything that has happened in the last few weeks regarding the quarterback situation, I don’t know what to think. I just want to see some touchdowns this week, and we are going to need them if we except to keep up with Cincinnati’s offense.

With a season high number of first downs this week, I was able to get past Rochester before pulling over and get some gas. After this week’s mileage it is looking like I will be able to get there in time for the Miami game. I wanted to wrap things up with an update on my email to Chris Brown at BuffaloBills.com, whom I heard back from this past weekend. He liked the project, but it doesnn’t look like they are going to do anything with it. I am going to try 97 Rock again, and maybe send an email to the Bills front office.
